American designer James Piatt has created this unusual collection of handbags that work in much the same way as a traditional Chinese finger trap puzzle.

They are carried by clamping the fingers into the woven tubes, which use the weight of the bag to create the pull needed to tighten the tube and secure the handbag to its owner.

In order to release yourself from the handbag, the wearer has to push both ends inwards to relax the weave. The smaller bag comes with one finger trap whereas the larger bag has three. The larger bag also comes with a removable strap so that it can be worn over the shoulder.
