Norman the Scooter Dog is outgrowing his name: The 3-year-old French sheepdog can now ride a bike.
On Wednesday, the shaggy-haired Norman stopped by The Huffington Post office in New York City to show off his skills. In front of a crowd of editors, Norman successfully rode a bicycle, a scooter and even a skateboard.
Norman's been training his whole life to ride a bicycle but only just mastered the skill this past spring, according to Karen Cobb, his owner and trainer. But that's not all Norman can do: He can also surf, as well as pull Cobb behind him in a two-wheeled cart called a sulky.
Since traveling to New York from Atlanta, Norman has appeared on the "Late Show With David Letterman" and ABC's "Good Morning America."
In addition to making the rounds on talk shows, Norman will be starring in the Hallmark Channel's "Who Let The Dogs Out?" along with a skateboarding bulldog named Tillman. The two canines will tour the country together searching Magazine Photoshoot For inspirational or uniquely talented dogs, according to Hallmark.
Norman is sponsored by Natural Balance Pet Foods, a pet food company based in the Pacoima section of Los Angeles that was founded by actor Dick Van Patten.
