Little Mix can best be described as the female counterpart to One Direction — chipper, inspirational teen pop from a group formed on The X Factor in the UK — but the sound of their debut album failed to live up to the bar set by their predecessors (Spice Girls, Sugababes, Girls Aloud and so on).
